Yes, added the ever-expected heavy flamer option to Avatar's Wailing Doom. And killing him causes him to explode with a heavy flamer stats (blast template though). That way 20 Hormagaunts with poisoned attacks can't simply bring him down with relative ease and not suffer anything. I'd imagine them scratching all over his iron body and taking it out will cause at least a handful of them to drown in molten lava.

I lowered his cost by a bit.

So this is your take on the rules? I liked the phoenix Lords rule from earlier editions, much more story and background to them. Will you be making a lot more codex or just sticking to Eldar?

I don't remember what Phoenix Lords were like past 3rd Edition, but they're receiving their own set of fluff pages and a lengthy history in the fluff area. I haven't touched that area yet, but they're getting a whole page of fluff to themselves, almost 2.

I have plans for a Tau Codex, but this one just kinda rocketed off into work. The Tau Codex project slowed down because of a lack of GW-quality pictures. The Eldar were relatively easy because there were so many pictures available to them. Being the first 40k Codex to take on the look from Fantasy books, they got those pictures, and they had several from the past. And they're a lot more popular on Deviant Art to draw.


I once had ideas for a Codex: Inquisition, but with the Grey Knights coming out soon, that's no longer a project. I have also made a Codex for my own race in 3rd and 4th Edition, I'm yet to revise them again for 5th. I don't know if I'll ever get around to them though.
