Description
Character stray cat I was developing over a very long period of time for a comic I was considering developing, Courtyard Cats.

Essentially, just a bunch of house cats in some person's courtyard interacting with each other and talking about life almost completely from the feline perspective.

Smokes (formally 'Smokey' from former owner) tries getting by on what trash he can dig up, things he can hunt, and of course occasionally what the locals bring out for him.

He's very curious about the human world but is a complete coward about actual exploration. He's really only allowed in the group because he's actually just that pathetic. He smells, he's dirty, he's got some fleas, but Smokes knows it and does his best to keep his distance from the cleaner group.

Most the humor from him comes from the fact he's slow to realize jokes and pranks; he's picked on a lot but he makes fun of himself about it.

Smokes is actually slightly embarrassed about his inclusion in the group but his accidentally fierce reputation keeps other strays away from the courtyard.
