I had trouble determining what color should I use but I ended up using the Legacy TM2 Megatron colors due to ease of use (most of the available screencaps of the show looks horrible to my eyes).
at 's suggestion, Megatron's secondary set of dragon horns was used for the robot mode which makes it look a little bit better.
