its a butterfly on a rock.. taken in Randers Regnskov in Denmark. for those who dont know (most of you) that is an indoor artificial rain forest climate in a large dome with free roaming animals and all that fun stuff.Related content

Though, it seems to have had a rather rough life, mottled wings and all.

i think its just getting old. and it's really pretty, it was more pretty with spread wings though but i couldn't catch a picture of that unfortunately.
