Changed the colors for kachidoki to budou's gold and purple. The gold part was kinda weird to do cause the lock had to be the same shape but the fruit doesn't take up the whole area :I but it came out fine

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

horrorcrusher In reply to JGResidentEvil [2014-06-19 21:20:17 +0000 UTC]

That "Micchy" was nothing more than a facade created by a high-functioning sociopath to fool himself and others, so forgive me if I still fail to see your point, to me the only thing Mitsuzane deserves is a slow, ironic death after being exposed to his former friends as the monster he is.Β

NinjaZaku In reply to horrorcrusher [2014-06-25 18:13:56 +0000 UTC]

I'm a psychology major, and I feel tempted to disagree with you about Mitsuzane being a sociopath. He's more likely someone suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Even so, it makes everything so much worse. The symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder include:

Expects to be recognized as superior and special, without superior accomplishments
Expects constant attention, admiration and positive reinforcement from others
Envies others and believes others envy him/her
Is preoccupied with thoughts and fantasies of great success, enormous attractiveness, power, intelligence
Lacks the ability to empathize with the feelings or desires of others
Is arrogant in attitudes and behavior
Has expectations of special treatment that are unrealistic

He envies Kouta and expects to be envied by everyone in Team Gaim. He expects constant attention from...everyone. Β He wants to be a hero, but has none of the redeeming qualities of one. Arrogance is obvious, and so is the rest. Micchy has slowly descended into the worst parts of this disorder by nurturing the darker parts of his mind...and now he's gone from selfish hero to full blown villain.

I respect your opinion, and after reading that comment am inclined to agree. Β However new questions have been raised, firstly does NPD tend to go as far as Micchy has taken it? Β Whose fault do you think it is that he's like this in the first place? Β And finally, is there any way to save him and others like him?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NinjaZaku In reply to horrorcrusher [2014-06-27 05:51:56 +0000 UTC]

Most people don't have the opportunity to take it as far as Micchy has taken it. Gaim is a fictional world, where things are extreme (I.E. most narcissists don't have the opportunity to pose as their CEO older brother to attempt to murder their ex-best friend). However, people suffering from acute Narcissism do often go way of the deep end like Mitsuzane has. The thing with treatment of NPD is they're not likely to seek it. When they do seek it there's only one really effective way to help- shatter their delusions of grandeur and rebuild them as a functioning member of society

horrorcrusher In reply to NinjaZaku [2014-06-27 06:51:05 +0000 UTC]

You forgot to mention selling out their entire race to mutated-aliens, and then there's still the matter of my second question. Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NinjaZaku In reply to horrorcrusher [2014-06-27 07:51:32 +0000 UTC]

I didn't see it, my apologies. NPD is one of those disorders that has just recently begun to be researched, so not much is known about it really. Usually, it's genetics. But when it is genetics, it's evident in the family- considering Takatora is a pretty decent guy (albeit a pessimist and an all-but-absentee guardian) I'm ruling that out.Β

NPD CANΒ (and i would like to emphasize, for anyone else reading this, -CAN-,Β as in not always.) develop through environment. Mitsuzane may have gained an entitlement complex via his upbringing. Takatora seems rather absent in Micchy's life, and leaving a child alone with their thoughts and their wealth can be...harmful. Imagine little Mitsuzane finding out he can make friends by just waving around words and money...what would that do to a kid ?

I'm not an expert, though. I've studied a lot. I know a good deal. Bu I'm still learning. It's easy to see Mitsuzane as the narcissist he is because it's an open-and-shut textbook case.

As Socrates once said, "I only know that I know nothing". I like to learn. If I can help others in that quest, than that's just made my day a little brighter.

This is interesting, can I talk about this? Interesting thought, I think Mitsuzane being a brat and not fully realizing the consequences of his actions also contributed to his disorder and actions.

More like he was upset that Kouta told everyone about Helheim's secret.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

gregar34 In reply to JGResidentEvil [2015-07-10 18:43:31 +0000 UTC]

It was the accumulation of everything: being a spoiled brat, jealous of Kouta, believing he is right no matter what, not realizing the full consequences of his actions and his ego growing. Kouta telling everyone was not the reason, it was Mai slapping Mitsuzane that straw that broke the camel's back. Why, because it was then Mitsuzane realized Mai favors Kouta over him.

I would also like to add that Takatora had a small bit of blame to it.

gregar34 In reply to JGResidentEvil [2015-07-10 22:40:34 +0000 UTC]

Agreed, as much I hate evil Micchy, it's undeniable Takatora contributed to his brother's decent like forcing Micchy to live his double life.
Takatora also said things to Micchy like getting rid of unnecessary things in his life. He didn't know how bad that was until it was too late.

JGResidentEvil In reply to gregar34 [2015-07-11 00:10:43 +0000 UTC]

Both. I can understand somewhat where he's coming from. He's did what he though was right, but was manipulated by others and did get to really make his own choices.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

gregar34 In reply to JGResidentEvil [2015-07-11 11:06:21 +0000 UTC]

That's true Micchy was manipulated for the most part.
Remember, he joined the overlords, tried to kill Kouta and kidnapped Mai by his own will.
It's more like the manipulations were the triggers to his descent to evil.

I hate evil Micchy for being so petty, an idiot who doesn't see the big picture and for being only a nuisance compared to the other villains.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

JGResidentEvil In reply to gregar34 [2015-07-11 15:04:13 +0000 UTC]

You are right about that. If only he was able to stand up for himself and to not always be manipulated.
