Well here's the backstory to the hat. Her dad is a gardener for his family doing the harvest and stuff so they would have stuff to eat regardless if they had money or not. And he would always wear this straw hat. But when time came as old age caught up with him he could do the harvest a lot and neither could his wife. But Kioka was one always willing to lend a helping hand and did all that stuff, watching her father and listening to him she knew what to do. Her father was grateful for what his daughter was doing for them, so he gave her the straw hat to show that she was the worker of the family and the one caring for them. A gift that was eagerly taken by Kioka as she loves to be a help to anyone in need.
