Alyssa Burnheart, also know at the Chicago hero herself. Cosmic-girl.
But let's go back a bit, like say the begging.

The Star:
Alyssa was born and raised in the city of Chicago, in the good part of the city but even though it was the good part of Chicago there still was a booming rate of crime there. Alyssa was raised by her two parents her mom Kimberly and her Dad Johnathan Burnheart. But good things never really last because at the age of three Alyssa lost her Mother in a car crash from a drunk driver. Alyssa really couldn't understand what was happening or why she couldn't see her mom. Until the reality hits a three year old that her mom was dead and she would never see her again. After the funereal Alyssa hardly saw her dad because he worked for the police in the city.
So Alyssa stayed with her Aunt and Uncle a lot after everything, Alyssa soon got into superheroes such as the cartoons and some toys that her uncle had. It wasn't because she liked them but more of a coping thing for her, to just get her mind off what happened.
a few years past and Alyssa grows more to like superheroes and other things, seeing her dad as one scents he is a cop she looks up to him. But Alyssa sometimes wish she could help people like those heroes or her dad. It became her dream just to help and be someone more then just her. When she was around the age of 16 she was setting in her room staying up one light night looking out the window to the night sky, she looked at the stars until she sees something strange falling from the sky, It was bright green and falling fast.
Alyssa thinks to herself just thinking it was just a weird looking shooting star. She closed her eyes and uttered the words "I wish i could be a superhero" *once her wish was spoken the shooting star seemed to be getting closer until it hits the ground sending a huge shock wave through the neighborhood where it it.
The shock wave hits shaking the house but Alyssa feels the power of the wave hit her knocking her off her bed knocking her out.
When she wakes up she thought that how thing was just a strange dream she had until she turned on the news that was talking about the meteor that crashed last night.

When her powers Kicked In:
a week after that happened Alyssa was sitting at home alone because her dad was at work. She goes to the kitchen to get her a class of something to drink as she gets a plastic cup then grabs the handle to the fridge as she pulls she pulls the handle straight off the fridge. Alyssa stumbles a bit, she looked confused on what happened, but just thought the fridge was old so she didn't really pay it any attention.
After that she got to thinking to herself as she watches TV, She looks to the remote that was on the table she starts to thinks more and sticks her hand out and tries sometimes. She stares at the remote watching it with intensity she stops as it moves a bit freaking her out.
Later that same night she starts to think more, putting pieces together, the handle breaking and her making the remote move, so she tries something again. She grabs a book she had in her room and places it on her desk she had in her room awhile. setting on her bed she stares at the book, minutes pass with her looking at this book and nothing happening, until she remembered the remote moved when she had her hand out. So she tried again but with her hand out, She looks at the book with the idea in her head of the book coming to her. minutes past again and she notices the book moving slightly so she tries to move it harder until the book flies of the desk Alyssa ducks out of the way letting the book hit the wall behind her. She takes a moment to think, Alyssa smiles and snickers abit. "i have powers!" She said to herself as he wish did come true. Through the day's Alyssa learned of all the powers she had. She learned she had super strength, telekinesis, and the power to she blasts from her hands. She learned she had that one when a mouse scared her and she almost blasted it leaving a hole in in her room that she had to hide from her dad. But it was true her wish came true, with these powers she could be a superhero and help people and be someone more then just Alyssa Burnheart.
