Bridget was just your average girl, she gained powers from a freak accident giving her the power to change magnetic poles and control of metal. She use to be a hero that when by the same name as she does now. Magneta. She was a solo act until she meet a super hero named fire-Arm a pyrokinetic. They were big in New Hemipter, until things changed, Bridget look up To Fire-Arm until something happened, Fire-Arm using his charm on her to get "Special" favors from her in private, using her in many ways. Bridget not liking the treatment she was resaving threaten Fire-Arm with exposing him for what he was doing to her, Not liking what he was hear Fire-Arm had to think of someway to keep her quite, burning one side of her face. Bridget on reaction used her powers and made a metal beam go right through Fire-Arm killing him. She was trying to get the beam to wrap around him not kill him.
Bridget called the cops being frighten but as she was trying to explain the cops saw her at fault because of the blood on her hands, she never got a word out that Fire-Arm was abusing her sexually, So she spent a couple of years in prison. with seeing her good super hero name get dragged through the mud. Bridget felt hurt, scared and even betrayed by the people that once loved her. All because of him. She grew a stronger hatred for heroes after this event and cops for that matter not even listening to her. once she got out of jail was was a different person, No longer a bright happy and spunky person. She was hateful, mean and dead set on taking her anger out on heroes that claim to be good. Which is hard to tell the difference from the fakers and the real heroes Magenta goes after everyone.
