Alex Madden, Once the proud Racecar driver holding over 59 wins in his record having the best win record in the U.R.L (Universal Racing League, parody of NASCAR) He had fame and glory, but the ego to revile anyone that tries to take his win streak down. Having the idea that he's the best racer of his time he holds his self on a high pedestal, But an accident would soon happen after a bad car crash and a Nitrous or N20 expulsion leading Alex in the Hospital, lucky he wasn't burned but h was concussed for a few weeks, after a five weeks he was back to his normal self but Alex felt odd to say the least, But he didn't want to think about to much he was just happy he was alive but he could shake the feeling something was off, His body felt energized, as if his body was reeving up. The feeling would never go away, and he had no clue what was going on, until he went on a little with one of his "Biggest Fans" everything was going fine until he stopped at a store to get something "Special" for the both of them, when stepping out of the car he accidently hit the gear stick taking it out of park, sending the car to roll off the slop where they parked. Alex ran after his car to save the girl, But was too slow. when suddenly he felt a surge of power run threw him, causing his body to move faster and faster to the point were he caught up to the car. saving the girl but ended up crashing his car. but he didn't go un noticed as by standers say the whole thing making head line news and front pages of papers.

After everything Alex becomes more a famous celebreality than ever before. even making his Ego bigger than ever, Using his powers of speed that he later learned that his speed clocked in around Mach 3 which shows why he could catch up to a car with no problem.
But does he use his power for good? Of course..not, The man only uses his powers to stop crime to make himself look good in front of his fans. No longer being Alex Madden and went with a simple name calling himself Zoom. wearing a speed suit and helmet that reminded him of his old racing suite with sponsors attached to it.
