As you might know: Austrians have weird Christmas traditions starting at December 5th - Day of the Krampus.I need to prepare something for that day since I really enjoy that tradition I grew up with as a child to be terrified of this fucking devil from the alps: The Krampus.
I chose to use capricorn horns to represent his heritage where he is coming from: the mountains.
He comes to make you suffer for your sins huehuehue.
Until then (Dec 5th), I really want to do that one with a nice background of snowy mountains and just a cold and scary atmosphere.

We were also scared by Krampus as kids! While st. Nicholas brings gifts for good childeren, Krampus comes like his accompaniment and punishes naughty children. That way we were always told by the adults...
I guess Till could be pretty good in such a role wearing his "Mein Herz brennt" dress and crawling under kids' beds

Nah, I didn't bother, really. I found it really ridiculous. The Krampus isn't supposed to be in the horror section. It's an old Austrian myth and I really hate it when people start to milk the chash cow on an old tradition...

Yeah. it's really weird...
Well, on December 3rd there is an event in my village called "Feuerspringen" which translates to "fire jumping".
Some Krampusse would come and jump over a fireplace and run around
(my father invented this event and he brought the Krampus tradition back into our village, and I am very proud of that fact. 
And on Day of the Krampus, the Nikolaus (www.stnicholascenter.org/pages… ) is coming to my sister's house to bring presents to the kids and some Krampusse will be there too to make the kids and even the grown ups shiver a little ^^

Sounds like fun, and I can bet that some adults would be scared a bit - some fears you have as kids stick with you well into adulthood.
