Redesign for Marvel Girl! I haven;t been a fan of Jean Grey's early green and yellow outfit so I decided to give it a try! I wanted her to have a teenage feel so I gave her brighter colours than I normally like using! Hope you like!Related content

Give me an M! Give me an A! Give me an R! Okay… I think you know where I'm going with this. As another commenter pointed out, this is reminiscent of cheerleader uniforms and it's absolutely everything!
Despite how dated or impractical it may seem, I'm a sucker for Jean's green Marvel Girl uniform. It's just too cute! That's why I appreciate it when people take inspiration from it and try to do an updated version. I like many of the elements you've got going on here. It's a two-piece with a full-on pleated skirt, so that really gives off the cheerleader vibe. I like the cut of the top, particularly since you've got it ending it a point. I also think her gloves are so freaking cool! I go nuts for fingerless gloves and even crazier when they've got padding on the knuckles. So bravo on that! The boots compliment everything really well too. I will say that I do have some contentions with this design and it's really small stuff. The first is that I'm not sure the orange outline for the X on her chest works. You could have gotten away with just using the dark gold. The other thing I'm not sold on are the shoulder pads. They're a tad cumbersome. If they were removed, this would be such a cute look! Like I said, that's really small stuff. On top of all of that, I do have to add that I'm loving her hair. It's really pretty and I like that it's not full-on diva Beyonce hair. It's modest and realistic for a more teenaged look.
Good job!

Looks a bit cheerleader-y, which makes her look a lot like Supergirl, but I could buy it as a modern day version of her classic minidress outfit. Still, good work.

Thanks! My thought behind it is that they have a say in what theyre costume looks like and her being a teen girl would want to dress to impress XD

Yeah, I think I understand what you mean. Afterall, she did wear that minidress outfit, and she did have an altered form made that resembles this that Rachel used for a while, so its not like its not true to her early, pre-Phoenix character.

Seems rather retro, but interesting. A bit gender based, buuut it's retro after all... XP And, well, uhm... guess that's just how it is. o3o;

Thanks! Like most teenage girls I thought she would think about boys and how to dress to impress them (according to what is portrayed in the media) So I guess she's shallow in a way! XD

LOL Well, yeah. That is true. XP
I'm thinking about myself tackle a lot regarding these gender roles and such myself in my comics, actually. Uhm... if I stop being lazy and starts working further on my Dr Metal comic I've only made 3 pages for, that is. XP lol
