but buns...reminds me of my bf
seriously though, this is very well done. it looks great, yet is only done with lines, no shading, yet still looking "real".

I love the way you do anatomy, your muscles really are top notch. You skills with CG ink are very, very impressive as well, the angular lines add a lot to the drawing.

Wow! Nicely done!! My line art is never this clean. I always admire when I see someone's work when they make it look as easy as this looks.

Thanks. Glad that I'm amusing and entertaining. I don't seem to have that ability in real life (or real time) sometimes.
I'm amazed that in the short time you've been here, you've gotten close to 6,000 pageviews!!!!!!!11 That's fucking amazing. What are you going to do for #6,000? Have you given it any thought *nudge, nudge* ?

zen- In reply to comicboy [2004-01-21 00:04:42 +0000 UTC]
What about this, a special edition pict dedicated, like with the person's name on it, for the 6,oooth view.
God, this has me so ramped up I'm wanna try to grab the brass ring now (actually you might not know about the mery-go-round and the brass ring and all that...no offense if you do)
any way, I just was just throwing some ideas out. I'm sure that what you do will be very special

well, 6000 has come and gone.
what does the brass ring have to do with the merry go round? those have horses and such.

Ah, correctly I suspected, my young padwan.
In the "Old Days" (i.e. when I was young) they would have this arm-thing at a certain station . As the Mery-go-Round went around, you'd pass the arm. At the end of this arm-thing was a slot out of which rings would be dispensed. The object was to try to grab the ring as you went around. Most of them were steel. But there was always that one ring that was Brass. So, as far as I know, the expression "Brass Ring" comes from that whole experience.
The point is that it was a special thing that only one person on that turn on the ride got. The winner of the brass ring got a free ride, or some other prize. I think they did away with the brass ring because kids would actually get their fingers cought in there. Not that often but it did happen. So there was an element of excitement to it too.
So, #6000 is the brass ring I was talking about. It's a big deal, but not enough to lose a finger over. Know what I'm saying? *shakes his head no* that's alright, I'm not too sure of a point myself.

wow. didn't know that. never saw those. that must have been a while ago... which means you're...
anyway, yea someone apparently got 6000 and they gave me the cap. we'll there's always 10,000 which would be a better prize.

Seriously though, for just a minute, I was wondering about Ivan. The quality and style of the lines is very moving. They're not static. How did you do him (so to speak)? Was it freehand, or program, or what?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
comicboy In reply to zen- [2004-01-22 08:48:46 +0000 UTC]
freehand. i always draw freehand first then scan them in and clean the lines.

zen- In reply to comicboy [2004-01-22 08:53:22 +0000 UTC]
ok, so then by cleaning the lines, you give them their character?
