The buzz around AEW's two new wrestlers hadn't gone unnoticed by the women's locker room. And Women's Champion Thunder Rose was paying a lot of attention. Rosa was at the top of the division, but she knew new blood and new trends would always crop up in the wrestling business. And seeing the crowd cheer every time Fliehr or Perry waddled to the ring made La Mera Mera decide it was time for a change.

Thunder Rosa started a new training regiment, but instead of of the gym, she hit the Jacksonville restaurants and bars. AEW covered by having a tournament to crown her next challenger. By the time the winner was decided, Rosa was ready to come back with a new look and new fire. Even Fliehr and Perry realized that things were really changing in AEW.

And now, the door was open even wider.
