Description
The little evil bird. Millions of these guys populate the underworld in my on-going comic based around Fibble (a character I have not introduced here) and Sin (the little white demon in my painting series). In the story, the birds are formed from the blood of Sin. One drop makes three birds. They basically represent evil, but mostly they act as scavengers eating the scraps of the damned souls the bigger demons leave behind.Some "fun" facts about them:
1. They are easily tamed by stories. You could have hundreds of blood-thirsty Evils ready to eat you but they will calm down and sit quietly if you tell them a story.
2. They are cannibalistic. If one gets injured, the others eat him.
3. They make a gargle sound and spit up blood when they are happy.
4. They are one of the few demons capable of reaching the outside surface. But they don't normally leave Hell anyways.

well, when I first saw this picture I thought that it might have been a reincarnation of a person who had alot of sin on their hands, like a murderer or something, and the person's reincarnation gets sent to hell before it was born. But yet remember's it's past life and regrets for doing it, but it cannot change it.
XD yeah, thats just what I thought before I read the description. -3- I suck at making stories for little monsters I know nothing about X3

Tim Burton used to be cool *sigh* :[ I loved his early stuff a lot...but now he makes nothing but movie remakes like Charlie and Alice and Apes with no good plot and they all have Johnny Depp for no reason and ugh I just donβt like the way he makes movies anymore he's too boring and predictable now. My favorite movie director is now Henry Selick! He's the awesome! And if I could be an apprentice to anyone it would be Mr. Selick!

Interesting indeed! The description there about these little guys has the creative wheels in my mind a-turnin' to concoct something. Tamed by stories huh? The only problem is maintaining your voice and the creative drive to keep yourself alive to get the heck away from them. Hmm...maybe a small tape player with some prefabricated stories if you knew you were going to run into them or perhaps- Sorry about the prattle there!
Gurgle and split up blood when happy? *raises an eyebrow* Well considering what they are I suppose that does work great for them! ^_^ Just like a really demented and deformed cat right?
Question-Are they sightless creatures? It looks like that from the piece there. So other higher developed senses for tracking targets and threats. I like the notion, as strange as it may be, of them arising from on character's blood. A defensive mechanism possibility there.
^_^ This makes me curious to see the story they are in, very much like a teaser element. I like the dumpy non-threatening look you gave to the bird. If you were to encounter something like that, they may not see it as an immediate threat that it should be taken as.

I never thought about that! A recording of a story might have the same effect, since the story is what lulls them over the voice telling it....unless itβs so badly told that the story is incoherent haha. Then they eat you twice as fast!
Hmm, they do look blind huh? But I always thought they could see...even without pupils I guess lol. Thanks for divulging into details like that too
