Sorry it's been a little while! This is Lieutenant Junior Spectrum, the communications officer. He is from an entirely different planet than Torque. Keep in mind this is an old drawing, but it's all I have right now. ^^"

As a communications officer, his role on the ship is to be a translator and negotiator for whenever they go to different planets, as well as keeping the base updated on their statuses and missions. His species is supposed to be based off of a chameleon.

Spectrum's strengths include being persistent, courageous, and having a photographic memory.

His weaknesses are that he is unbelievably immature, reckless, and doesn't care about consequences as much as he should.

-His species can change colours either to blend in with his surroundings or to represent his emotions. He doesn't have much control over the latter, though. Emotion/colour reference will be posted at the bottom of this list.

-Although he is cheeky and enjoys getting on peoples' nerves (especially Torque's), he still wishes to be accepted and loved by others.

-He's deathly afraid of drowning due to an incident that happened years before he joined the Chasers. This will be explained in the comic at some point.

-Spectrum is a good chef and loves making food for the others. He's a good dancer as well.

-He has a photographic, almost unnatural memory. He can learn entire languages in a little less than a week. This is one of the reasons he became a communications officer.

-His home planet is technologically backwards, and he is the only literate member in his family. He has his professor to thank for that.

-Spec was given janitor duty by Torque many times as a form of punishment for his shenanigans. He eventually grew attached to the job and sometimes uses a laser mop in battle created by Bowman. None of the enemies take him seriously, which (sometimes) works to his advantage on the battlefield. He has no shame.

-Spectrum is not his real name. He got that nickname at boot camp due to how often he changes colours. (Thanks, Bowman.) His real name is Zyyrikyn, but is rarely referred to by this in the story.

~Emotion/Colour reference~ These are the many colours he will change to in the comic. Here is each emotion and the colour associating it.
Light pink-- Happy
Bluish grey-- Sad
Bright red-- Angry/passionate
Light green-- Confused/curious
Grey-- Broken or tired
White-- Shocked/surprised/in pain
Dark green-- Envious or annoyed
Light purple-- Fearful
Hot pink-- Lovestruck/romantic/flirty
Yellow-- Confident/neutral (barely a difference)
Sickly green-- Disgusted
Light blue-- Thoughtful
Turquoise-- Unsure/mixed feelings
Dark purple-- Sleeping
Brown-- Restless or nervous
Dark red-- Livid
Royal blue-- Embarrassed or guilty
