Many speak of the one called Faun; mother's tell stories to their young ones of the creature who lurks in the shade of night, searching for young, naive Ballators to frolic and play past their bedtime, only for her to whisk them away to her lair. What she does with them no one knows, but rumors spread far and wide of the bones of foals decorating the entrance to her dwelling. It's told that Faun was once a beautiful mare who caught the eye of Hannibal. Shamelessly she seduced him and tricked him into bringing her gifts, but after some time the lowlord had had enough and he struck her with a madness she cannot overcome. Blind and crazed, Faun stumbled her way to a murky swamp where she now calls home. Bark and moss cling to her as if they were always there, and despite her loss of sight, she is never lost and can look into the very soul of those who dare meet her gaze.
