Description
FlufflyMacaronCollaboration with FlufflyMacaron!
I really like isopods for some reason so I started out drawing one wandering out from under a slab of wood. It became super detailed after I decided to add extra detail and color it in, which I'm not so good at right now. I had my friend show me how to do shading and whatnot, and this is the result.
Isopods are crustaceans in the same order as crabs, lobsters, and shrimps. There are both aquatic and terrestrial species, and they typically eat dead plant or animal matter. It's pretty easy to find terrestrial species, just turn over rotting logs in the forest and you are likely to find some!
They are pretty easy to keep as pets too, I keep some in a fish tank with coconut substrate, bark slabs for cover, and dead leaves for food. Just have to make sure their container is kept fairly moist and give them a little extra planty scraps once in a while and they are sure to begin reproducing, and then you'll have an army!
