About Go Go Lazytown! - Go Go Lazytown! (Icelandic: Latabae!) (Japanese: Reijitaun no Tanoshi Boken) is an Icelandic-Japanese anime which premiered on Tokyo TV (Japan) and Latibae Channel (Iceland) in 1999 and 4Kids (USA) in 2000. It is the successor to The Lazy Tales (1989-1991) and the precursor to Lazytown (2004-2007, 2013-2014). It is based on the 1989 book called "Let's Go Lazytown" but mostly based of the 1999 play Robbie Rotten in Lazytown. The story is about Stephanie going on adventures and Sportacus saving Lazytown. This show ended in June 28, 2004 in Japan and Iceland and August 12, 2004 internationally, 2 days before Lazytown came out. Go Go Lazytown! was nominated for the 2001 South Bancyville Awards for best anime in 2000 but lost to Pokémon: The Johto Journeys. Go Go Lazytown! won in the 2001 South Bancyville Kids Awards for best children's cartoon.
