When and how did you get started in Cosplay?
Back in 2014 when a friend threw a superhero themed birthday party! I put together a (very awful) Black Widow cosplay and that's how it all started
What was your first Cosplay?
Black Widow
What was the most difficult character?
Definitely Lady Loki, those horns were definitely a challenge to make (and wear...)
What characters are you planning and type of character are you drawn to?
I typically only cosplay characters I have a strong connection to, with Batwoman being an exception. So any characters I might do from here have to have the same for me to become and stay interested in doing this project. I'm mostly drawn to villains and morally questionable characters somehow.
What is your process when starting from the beginning with a new cosplay?
It varies! But mostly I draw out my design, then stalk the internet for materials and just start with a small part. With Loki I began with the scalemail months before I tackled the armor.
Are there any helpful hints in sewing, costume design or any other aspects of your cosplay that you discovered in doing your creations?
Yogamats are your best friend. 6$ buys you almost two square meters of cheap purple foam on eBay which works just as fine for your cosplays as expensive cosplay foam would.
Do you have a preferred brand of makeup in your cosplay? And if so why?
Not really? I'm a student living on a student budget so I mostly use cheap stuff. Except for foundation, I always get L'Oreal for that! So far theirs is the only kind that I can get to work with my skin.
What are you listening to?
Mostly female fronted symphonic metal. My favorites are Tarja, Nightwish, After Forever and Within Temptation.
Favorite Movies?
Hard to tell! I think an all time favorite would be the Ocean's trilogy
Favorite Animes?
I don't watch anime
Favorite TV Shows?
Stranger Things, Rick and Morty, BBC Merlin, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Gotham, Orange is the new black... The list is long.
Is there a scene from a anime, cartoon, movie or tv show that left a big impression on you and what was it?
I find orange is the new black in general a very powerful show, with many scenes that get you to really think.

Currently reading Halo by Alexandra Adornetto and Winter by Marissa Meyer

Is there something not going on in the cosplay world that you would want to see or is there something you would want to change?
This has been said before but I would like the judgment to change. I stopped cosplaying Black Widow, purely because of how people treat me when I wear that costume. It wasn't until I made my Loki that I realized that it didn't have to be that way, but I find it sad that which character I choose to cosplay makes such a difference for how I am treated and for the respect people might have for me.
What was your favorite toy growing up?
I had a playmobil house and I loved it!
Who is your biggest character crush and why?
Clearly Lady Loki (maybe Ivy) but if I had to be slightly more realistic I'd say Daredevil
You enter a warehouse. There is little light, but you are able to find your way around. The sound of music draws you to a corner of the warehouse. There are FIVE GHOUL CLOWNS, playing a dancing video game. They have razor sharp teeth and scary weapons. Magic can not affect them; they sense your presence and turn facing you. They run to you to attack. Time to fight! What character would you want to be to defeat them and how would you handle the situation?
Clearly Loki, she's smart enough to figure out a solution and if there is none, teleportation is your best friend!
If you had to be chained with a character for one year, what would be the character and what would you do?
I guess I'd pick Captain America because he seems like the only fictional character I can come up with who wouldn't go insane and murder me for it...
You can have dinner with your favorite character. And at this dinner you may ask one question. Who would be the character and what would be your one question?
I'd take Lady Loki from the A-Force series and ask her what happened to make her the way she was.
What's number 1 on your bucket list? (Something you want to do before you leave the planet).
This seems lame but I'd really like to graduate college.
What advice would you give to people getting started in Cosplay?
There will be people who won't respect you but you should tell them off right from the start. Beat them up if you have to. I wish I was the person that I am now at my first convention, because I now know that the only correct response to strangers getting handsy is to hit them. And that I won't have to take photos with people who are drunk and/or clearly have no clue who you are cosplaying but just keep saying how great and hot I look and what not. Even in cosplay you are still you, and not someone's favorite character, and they had better respect you as such.
