When and how did you get started in Cosplay? 2 years ago when I built my own Halloween costume
What was your first Cosplay? Sally from Nightmare before Christmas and I also build a jack for my ex
What was the most difficult character? There are a few as I’m always to push myself to be better but I would say Harley Quinn was difficult building that huge hammer and it was the first time I designed a lingerie set to go with my costume which required a lot of detail painting.
What characters are you planning and type of character are you drawn to? I have a lot of characters in the works. I like strong female characters like Daenerys Targaryen and Wonder woman and I also looove doing gender bends I’m doing a Han Solo for the movie next month
What is your process when starting from the beginning with a new cosplay? I have a huge list of characters I want to work on and I’m always working on 4 or 5 at the same time… I kind of let my inspiration take my focus where it wants to go… when I think something is close I set up a photoshoot and then that kind of puts the pressure on me to finish it quickly.
Are there any helpful hints in sewing, costume design or any other aspects of your cosplay that you discovered in doing your creations? So many haha… I mean like every cosplayer I am constantly developing my craft. I would say the biggest tip I have for people is just don’t let people’s expectations pressure you… build the cosplay of what you want how you want and wear it proudly. Don’t be afraid to bring yourself into it. Cosplay is for fun!
Do you have a preferred brand of makeup in your cosplay? And if so why? I use a lot of stuff Nyx, Mac, Sephora, etc. whatever seems to fit the look I’m going for most. Lately I’m really loving the contouring palate of Nyx
What are you listening to? Right now? …Queen
Favorite Movies? Maybe its feeling the hype for the new movie but I’m going with Incredibles
Favorite Animes? Death Note
Favorite TV Shows? Game of Thrones all the way… I can talk GoT theories all night
Is there a scene from a anime, cartoon, movie or tv show that left a big impression on you and what was it? Whenever Daenerys says the word Dracarys! Game of Thrones fans you know what I’m talking about.
Books? I love to write my own stories actually… when I’m not cosplaying I’m usually writing role play
Games? Kingdom Hearts in fact my first professional photoshoot was for Naminé
Beverage? Coffee… thankfully there’s no legal limit for the amount of Coffee in your bloodstream
Fast Food/ Junk Food of choice? Pizza with a nice thick crust. Mmmm hang on… gotta order some.
Candy bar? Kit-kat
Favorite Breakfast cereal? Anything chocolaty
Is there something not going on in the cosplay world that you would want to see or is there something you would want to change? I wish people were more accepting of people who want to cosplay how they want… for example, if you do anything sexy it feel like you get hate from both sides… people who thin women can’t do what they want with their bodies, and also people who think anything sexy can’t also be high quality cosplay. Thankfully though, there are a lot of people who get it too.
What was your favorite toy growing up? My Bratz dolls, lol.
Who is your biggest character crush and why? Ohhh, this conversation could get really real… I’m just going to say Kylo Ren and leave it there.
You enter a warehouse. There is little light, but you are able to find your way around. The sound of music draws you to a corner of the warehouse. There are FIVE GHOUL CLOWNS, playing a dancing video game. They have razor sharp teeth and scary weapons. Magic can not affect them; they sense your presence and turn facing you. They run to you to attack. Time to fight! What character would you want to be to defeat them and how would you handle the situation? My Genderbend Joker and so clearly the clowns already work for me
If you had to be chained with a character for one year, what would be the character and what would you do? Wonder Woman… but we would use the lasso of truth instead of a chain and would just be BFF’s
You can have dinner with your favorite character. And at this dinner you may ask one question. Who would be the character and what would be your one question? Arya so she can tell me the secrets of the faceless men.
What's number 1 on your bucket list? (Something you want to do before you leave the planet). Travel the world
What advice would you give to people getting started in Cosplay? It’s for fun, don’t worry about being the best, worry about having the most fun with your character.
