Been a long time since I did a tLoS related piece for fun, many years actually. The Legend of Spyro will always hold a very special place in my heart (specifically Dawn of the Dragon) as it is what originally introduced me to DeviantArt where I've been able to meet tons of wonderful people and it was the gateway to me making my own dragon universe. You may be seeing more TLoS related stuff in the future from me, I've always had idea for the universe but never really posted them so we'll see~
Anyways, in case you can't tell, here we have an adult Spyro and Cynder. As with most others, I'm a strong believer in that Ignitus was Spyro's father, hence some resemblance to the ol' fire boi ;>

I still absolutely love the little details showing that Spyro was definitely the son of Ignitus! A well drawn picture!

I myself am a firm believer in the theory as well, considering Spyro himself adopted many personality traits from Ignitus.

In game they're purple, but I liked the contrast of orange eyes C:

As for Spyro's parentage, in some interview with one of the writers it was actually all but confirmed that Iggy indeed is his old man, but they cut that reveal in favor of some other stuff as far as I know.

Alot of the Adult Spyro designs out there are hit and miss but yours is definitely a hit

I still come back to this piece every now and then. It's still as amazing as it was the first time I saw it. Spyro and Cynder look absolutely amazing here.

I find it odd how most people make Spyro look older and more mature, and leave Cynder practically unchanged.

It probably deals with most people basing adult Cynder off her design from A New Beginning and Spyro similar to the guardians (typically Ignitus). I tried adding some extra detail to her like Spyro I. The sketches but it just didn’t fit for how I imagine her as an adult. I like the simplistic, sleek design. Makes her look elegant, imo.

Most of the guardians have it. Since they’re the only examples we have of adult dragons basically in tLoS it makes sense why most people give him one.
