Very lifelike. I like it. The only thing I would maybe add is a bit of highlight to the front of her left shoulder to deal with the flatness, but it looks really good overall

Hmm, I see what you mean. Maybe it was the angle or something. Too late to change anything now.

I very much like the linework and the body shading...the only thing that bothers me is the right eye...but it was a difficult angle so I forgive you
great work

I don't normally fave nude images, but damn! And I do mean... just plain.. DAMN! You made that look like a real photograph using nothing but a pencil... DAMN! I don't even know where to begin with the accolading of this piece... this is so far out of my caliber it isn't even funny at all. I am at a loss of words here, as your skill reaches to levels I haven't begun to consider how to describe until now. I mean, I thought I was good with the art I do using pencil, paper and flash. But in the end all I have are somewhat fairly nice vector lined two-tone shaded cartoon images. This is just unbelievable and passable off for a photo at first glance before you stare too long or go to full view. I... just... don't... know... what... to... say...

I'm probably going to fave most of the images in your gallery now (don't except comments, as there's nothing criticial I can say to one as skilled as you, and the praise would just be another damn fest). CONSIDER YOURSELF WATCHED TOO!

I AM NOT WORTHY TO BE LOOKING AT THIS *runs off to go on mass faving spree*

alltogether gorgeous. I love the expression captured, so winsome, and longing. The only parts that caught my eye as being a bit off from the rest of the piece was her left arm and right hand. They are still of great caliber, but somehow now quite as good as the rest of this phenominal piece. Great work!!

ahh, you caught it. I didn't see it myself until I scanned it, the second before I submitted. Thank you for your comment, next time you won't have anything to catch though.

Haha, its the little imperfections that make us human. We strive to eliminate them, for that is our nature, it is as it should be. on the other hand, we should subconsiously revel in the little flaws that make us all the brilliant imperfect gobs of flesh that we are. Keep up the good work though!

Obviously I'm drawn to the boobs, but I love this picture because its so well done. I love the sense of light, the way the white space blends into the wall behind the figure, gives a lovely soft light effect. Great job, +fav.

cinny [2004-10-22 01:52:33 +0000 UTC]

This is pretty good. You can see your pencil lines and shading alot, but it's not perfect realism, and that's why I like it. It looks real but has a style to it. The shading is nice and pleasing to the eye, except for the upper arm closest to the viewer, it seems flat and your shading looks messy. I love her hair, and also I love the way the shadows and light bounce off her collarbone and breasts. Great work.

Great drawing. I love the subtle shading and the use of lighting. If it were me, I would attribute the lack of complex shading to the flooding of light from the window. Great composition. Nice highlights and texture.

Me like.

control In reply to nrgizrbuni [2004-10-22 21:26:06 +0000 UTC]

Actually, the subtle shading is quite challenging to me, I just can't keep a completely white section in a drawing, I don't know why. I just have to put my pencil to it.

Thanks for the kind words!

Excellent tonal range, as in all of your work. Have you evern considered using a section of chamois cloth for blending? The texture with chamois is amazingly smooth, especially with softer grades of leads--just a thought there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

control In reply to dioscuri [2004-10-20 22:58:29 +0000 UTC]

I've tried a lot of things to blend, never really found a suitable one, although the chamois does sound intriguing. This piece was not shaded on purpose, it gives it a certain look.
