"...Mmmmmmffff.."

His light snores mixed with the faint noise of slithering across hardwood floors, of a rigid face impossibly dragging itself closer and closer to his makeshift bed. Soon the horrifying creature had caught him! It began to coil itself eerily around his limbs as he slept...

It'd been a long day. Her fingers were freshly laundered, and the breezy smell of soap wafted over him. All she wanted was to hold him close, run her digits through his hair, and give a silent reassurance. Her frozen lips remained as still as ever, but she wordlessly caressed his sleepy head, feeling his slow breaths brushing against her featureless skin. And if she took good care of him, maybe he'd wear her tomorrow, too...

He'd shuffled home all weary and sore, heels in agony - but still he'd taken the time to unpack her. To take that extra care she'd be clean, dry and ready for tomorrow's adventures. Her heart secretly ached whenever he took the time to untangle her hair, to spend hours brushing it, carefully smoothing out all the kinks in her limp artificial spandex skin - and when he drifted off to sleep at last, she'd do her best to repay his kindness. Even if it just meant curling up on the mattress around his passed-out body and stroking his hair. Tending to her wearer, like he tended to her. She'd kiss him if she could.

Alas, all she could do was massage his aching limbs. Oh, and set the alarm! He occasionally forgot, and she prayed her wearer wouldn't remember forgetting to do it. She dared not reveal her secret . He might throw her away, or be too afraid to put her on, or stop caring for her... fear pulsated through her artificial extremities whenever she came close to being discovered slinking around in her deflated state.

More than once he'd aroused suspicion from his kigging friends chatting about the times she'd somehow been left sprawled across his bed overnight, or how 'that time the zipper got stuck' must've been pure fetish fabrication, and not simply her aching desire to keep him close manifesting as a minor malfunction. She didn't mean to trap him, it was only because he'd been away for a while, and she just wished to hold him for a few moments longer...

Those rare incidents aside, he didn't suspect a thing. She hoped. There were those times he 'got into character' and it was as if he weren't even moving at all. She secretly guided her slender limbs, posing and waving, like an elegant dance he'd never done before suddenly being second nature. Yes, simply a performer's instinct, couldn't possibly be his kigurumi waifu applying a little influence here and there.

"Mmmh..."

He turned in his sleep, draping her fingers over his chest. Oh, what she wouldn't give to be wrapped around him now, keep him warm and safe. Really sate her hunger for closeness and a snug fit. Even for a living mask and spandex bodysuit, she was clingy... But it wasn't like he was any better. Staring endlessly at her in the mirror, squeezing his arms in the closest approximation of a hug he could achieve. Mmmmh.

"Hmhhhh.... sssh.....mmmmm..."

The words and noises he uttered in his sleep were her little treasures, something nobody else could have. She could've sworn his hand squeezed a little tighter, half coiled around her fingers in turn... Ahhh, better slither back into the cupboard before she falls asleep on top of him again. Even if she wanted to wriggle herself onto his body, swallow him up by the zipper and sleep with him inside... As much as he'd brushed off finding her lying on the bed next to him, she strongly doubted he'd "forget" putting on his kigu waifu and falling asleep. Argh. Something she'd have to try and encourage him to do in the future...

So, very reluctantly, she slithered away. Laid flat over the suitcases again, she did her best to ignore the throbbing in her immaterial heart as she settled in for the night. Maybe someday she'd reveal her secret, once she was sure he'd be okay with it... but for now, it was time to sleep. A busy day awaited them both. Her glossy plastic eyes stayed open, watching over him. Keeping him safe.
