Autumn Gold her health has gone downhill hard the last few months. With being 21 years old we decided it was time to retire her from having anymore foals. She has had so many foals ever since she was 2 years old and got accidentally bred for the first time. It was soon learned that the mare prefered the young horses over the horses of her own age. When ever she would not get a foal herself she would try to steal a foal from any other mare in the pasture, just to raise it. The little ones where just what she lived for. And that is exactly what she has proven. Ever since she was retired just to be a horse for a change, her health deteriorated fast. Untill this morning when we found her in the pasture, motionless... The 21 year old mare had passed away in the few hours she had been in the pasture.

She left lots of happy memories and she has left at least a dozen of amazing offspring. Every single one of those being special in their own way and every single one of them showing the talents their mother didnt had the desire to show us. She was used as a breedingmachine, since that was the thing that made her happy; more than being ridden ever did. She has been an important part of the stables history and she was the last starter mare from the original stables. She will be missed.
