Description
Windows 2000 was released in 1999. It was supposed to be released as Windows NT 5.0, but it never came through. This is a very strange operating system. My reason why: It had the ability to be prown to viruses easily. However, that does not mean that it is a bad operating system. There were good things as well. One of those good things was that this operating system, along with Windows ME, was that they were the first to feature System Restore. System Restore is a built-in lifesaver for the operating system if the operating system does not load properly.Windows 98: [link]

2k didn't have System Restore, it had the Recovery Console. System Restore didn't come around until ME, and it didn't hit NT until XP. Also, NT kernel 5.0, so yeah, 2k's NT5.
