The fresh, heady scent of the blossoming apple trees lingered in the air around the arena, causing Saint to pull short on his lead and whuff the aroma deeply.

"You like that?" Noel laughed, giving his line a tug to get his mind back in the game. "We can stand around and smell it later, goofball. We got work to do."

The quarter horse colt followed the girl obediently. In the past year, he had grown out of his unsightly yearling uneveness and had filled out into a solid, handsome creature. His pinto markings were loud, and his coat well-groomed and glossy. He was a show-stopper, for certain!

When their turn came, Noel slipped Saint's halter off and sent him into the indoor arena. Moments later, music popped and crackled over the loud speakers, and soon bubbled into the iconic You Ain't Nothing But A Hound Dog . The colt tossed his mane and trotted airily around the perimeter of the arena, head and tail aloft in the unmistakable image of a horse enjoying himself.

CCR Wing and a Prayer 's entry into ~HiddenAcresStables 's Arcadia Spring Show , Liberty class. The journal said it took place in an indoor arena, but I couldn't find any pictures of what it should look like, so I just kind of guessed, lol.

Saint's looking mighty handsome - I'm happy with the way this turned out! Man, I love this colt.
