Stunning choices for color, I'd love to see/know about your process.

you can also look at the books hifi color for comics and master digital color. thats where I learned most of the process. There are a lot of good resources online for art too. The style in most comic books doesn't look like this page though.

Hello I don't color that much lately but here was the info I based the color choices on. I also looked at some old sci fi covers.

Looking really nice!
You have a good understanding of how color works underwater. You could probably go a hair more saturated in the foreground. While red fades quickly underwater, you'll see more of it in the near glove and harpoon than the diver behind her.

thanks for the tips. I know I'd have to practice a quite a bit more to master this color scheme.
I also was practicing using desaturated colors that look warm even though they are just more neutral gray compared to the colors around them. I definitely could have pushed the contrast in the foreground figure more. In most of my color pieces where I pick the colors myself I always feel like I'm not pushing the contrast enough once I get to the end. There are just so many steps between the end and the beginning that I need to plan out better.

they are just flat colors and color holds. They do work well in the composition. Thanks

This looks GREAT!Β
It's hard for me to know who is responsible for doing what - but all the same. Β It's a great piece.

It was Mark Schultz. Its already got good composition and plane separation. Plus its the kind of art you don't really render heavy. Thanks though
