Description Exported as the file name "CottagePROTOTYPE," I wasn't pleased with how the scene looked with the sprites I attempted to add in, as not only were 2 out of the 7 sprites not even started, but an additional 2 out of the 5 "completed" I felt are lackluster, and require some attention to work out some issues with basic shape.

As this week's "new" completed work, this scene is the first of hopely many to follow.

Sticking with my basic style for establishing a scene, I organized this piece with some clutter in the foreground, followed by a close midground for posing sprites, a far midground restricting the scene, and a series of backgrounds to provide depth and color.
Utilizing progressing layers of temperature and saturation variable planes, I established an appearance of depth beyond the confines of the foreground.
Keeping the midground mostly flat, this was intended to allow space to pose sprites, which I was incapable of doing. This allows an issue with light and shadow to become apparent, as for the most part, only the barest minimum of highlight and shadow has been applied to elements of the scene.
Some additional research was done to approximate the means of constructing and repairing the walls of peasant residences in medieval times, as well as peasant "fireplaces" to model an accurate depiction.
