Description
The main characters of Remnants, at least at the start. Information on each is as follows:(*May be removed)
1: Victor Vantage - 'The Vigil'
The main character. Generally calm and collected, and always in control of the situation. He is a first and foremost a strategist and a thinker. He's a mercenary, doing jobs for money and helping keep the ever present bandit problem at bay.
Powers:
- Vision
- Thermal Vision (Sees heat sources)
- Backscatter X-Ray Vision (Sees through objects)
- Night Vision (Sees clearly at night or in areas with a poor light source)
- Telescopic/Microscopic Vision (Can easily see objects in the distance, and can view small objects up close.)
Equipment:
- Revolver (Ruger Super Redhawk, most likely)
- Special ammunition* (revolver mechanism allows for specific sequencing of bullet types)
2: Sunny D'Amico - 'The Trickshot'
Victor's childhood friend. Performs a double role in the team as both a sniper and an infiltrator, thanks to her powers. Wallcrawling allows her to reach unlikely and unexpected spots to snipe from, and sneak into places through normally inaccessible windows or ducts. She's a lively person and fun to be around most of the time.
Powers:
- Adhesion (through skin contact)
- Wallcrawling (Can scale and cling to any surface regardless of smoothness or gradient, like a gecko)
- Grip (Can hold onto something and not let go. Useful for carrying objects or preventing escape)
- Crushing/Tearing (Powerful grip can destroy or tear away at weakly structured objects if the need arises)
Equipment:
- Desert Tactical Arms Stealth Recon Scout Sniper Rifle (with telescoping barrel)
3: Lily Amaryllis - 'The Blossom'
Lily is a character that doesn't show up for a little while, but is important to the plot once she does. She's a very reserved and quiet person in most circumstances, due to a troubled background. However, when push comes to shove, she steps up and pulls her weight when required. She has some skill in both botany and medicine and acts as the team medic, but can still hold her own in a fight if it comes to that.
Powers:
- Plants (Plants grow out of her body, using her blood to distribute nutrients and her flesh as a sort of 'flowerbed'. They can be controlled as long as she is still connected to them; once they break off of her, they are no longer a part of her.)
- Vines (Useful as a restraining technique)
- Thorns (Hurts anybody trying to grab her, or anyone she hits physically)
- Spores (Variety of effects, usually sickness, poison, or temporary paralysis)
- Roots* (Anchors her into things and draws nutrients from the ground)
- Photosynthesis (Can survive without food if required, as long as there is sunlight available. Staves off starvation but doesn't fill her up.)
- Flowers (e.g. Rafflesia to emit a powerful and sickening stench)
Equipment:
- No weapons, as of yet.
- Medical kit.
4: Abigail 'Gail' Winters - 'The Onslaught'
Gail probably of Scottish descent, blunt, to the point, short tempered, and almost universally feared by bandit mooks, hence the title. She's the best fighter out of the four main characters, with expertise in most conventional guns and how to use them. She favours the assault rifle but makes use of handguns and explosives as required. She is extremely tetchy about the use of her full first name, considering it too 'girly girl'. She is especially hostile of anybody using 'Abby' instead of 'Gail'.
