I said I was going to do another one of these.

From Left to Right: Lupé, Irene, Mary Lou, Macaria, Jeanette, Medusa, Pugerus

Way back when I first created Lupé and Irene for vert-is-ninja's seven circles of hell thing (I don't think that was ever even finished), I'd first thought of a world inhabited by civilized monster people. Everybody other than L&I stemmed from that idea, even though it never was (and probably never will be) actually fleshed out at all.

Just a few little notes about each of 'em...

Lupé: Chupacabra. Addicted to goat blood, frazzled all the time (like somebody on a coffee rush). Irene's sort-of boyfriend.

Irene: Harpy. Kind of a bitch, except to Lupé. Keeps messenger pigeons (not to eat!). Lupé's kind-of girlfriend.

Mary Lou: Swamp Mermaid. She's a huge deep south hick. Like banjo strummin', shotgun wielding, cousin-marrying hick. You know the kind.

Macaria: Manticore. Rich bitch. Her right eye got stung by a rival manticore in a fight when she was little, which is why it's pink and swirly. Very stuck up and spoiled.

Jeanette: Banshee. Paranoid as all hell, always shaking and will scream at the slightest provocation. Really easily startled.

Medusa: Medusa. The Medusa. Old as all hell and completely blind in her real eyes. She can no longer turn people to stone with a look, but she can still see through the eyes of the snakes (but only through one's eyes at a time, otherwise she gets sick). She's kind of ratty and poor at this point.

Pugerus: Cerberus Pug. Medusa's dog. Likes steak.
