This is quite the interesting mental image...For me, I see an Inquisitor controlling a murder of crows and using them to force confessions or conversions of nonbelievers...very interesting indeed. I wonder if it could be done?

It was done actually..after general torture using tools & devices the person was left tied on a stake to be eaten by crows or animals or bitten to death by bees
