Good ol'Queen Scarlet, tis a shame her throne has been claimed. But for such an insidious creature to continue on her golden roost would be impossible for long, before her own hubris and pride caught up to her.

MY LORD!!! This is spectacular! The anatomy is spot on, and the talons... HOW?? And not to mention the shading and the power hungry/ insane look on Scarlet's face!
I LOVE IT! If you don't mind me asking what do you reference for expressions? Or do you have any tips? I find myself struggling in that area.

I like to reference my dragon expressions a lot of other artists, like lightningstrike/stArchaeoteryx (though not so much anymore) and linsaangs, but a lot of it just comes from experience. Sometimes though, I do xtra stuff, like for this one I searched up Queen Scarlet on the cover of Peril Rising to get her scarred face correct.
