I wanted to give a good shot on how to paint fur so I decided to follow Aaron Blaise's How to Paint Fur tutorial on Youtube (I used a similar reference image, but not the exact same one as he did). I must say, this was an absolute joy to paint! I absolutely love seeing artwork with a more 'painterly' style then attempting a full photo-realism effect. It's a goal I always to want to aim for but haven't really gotten a grasp of yet. I was unsure at times about some of the things Aaron did in his video but it turned out so awesome in the end. Highly recommend to check out his tutorials if you haven't already.
Gosh I am a happy person right now, haha. I love this.
