The one with the coloured lineart looks really adorable although the one in the right has such a peppy pose! Have you ever considered doing digital works? I just keep wondering how you'd do in those and keep imagining it. Then again, maybe it's more comfortable for you doing traditional works.

Yea either digital or traditional is fine with me. I just don't have adobe illustrator or corel draw programs, it's too expensive.

Yea, those programs really have unbelieveable high prices. But there are cheap light programs out there that work as well as those (or even better). In my case, I have SAI Paint Tool. A total lifesaver ever since I lost my Photoshop cs2. Don't know if you ever tried it or heard of it but you could give it a shot.

Not really, there are easy to be found versions that are cracked and others that are trials, but if you want, I'll even show you the link where I got my SAI! (Looks like it was updated as well, even more luck for you!) [link]
Yeah, the forum is in spanish but the download link of the latest english version can be easily found. 
And I've actually tried that Gimp program once! I don't know why, it felt really awkward for me to draw in it.
