Oh right, I have a Deviant Art account! So, in the time I've been away from this site I've still been working on Oceans in the Sky (My personal white whale of a personal comic project) and have been working on a script I'm hoping to eventually turn into an all ages graphic novel. Collecting the ideas I've had for this story into a coherent format has required making some major changes to the story, and these in turn required making some changes to the character design.

The biggest change is probably that Felix and Lucy have been aged down to around 13 or 14 to facilitate the sort of character arcs and internal struggles I want to explore in the story. Felix himself has changed a lot since I first came up with the character: Going from laid-back free spirit to a much more anxious young man, who keeps his personal struggles to himself far more than is healthy. To reflect this I'm finally doing the unthinkable and having him wear SHOES! I'm also playing around with the idea of giving him big ol' nerd glasses.

I'm settling on a supporting cast of Sanderson (Who I've been experimenting with giving four arms, we'll see how much of a pain that's going to be.), Tilda (Who is probably the least heavily changed of the characters), Tilda's pet Cyclocat Sergio (Who I am trying to channel some Ghibli vibes with his design) and Klef (Who is now radiating 243% more Big Longshoreman Energy).

With 2020 fast approaching, we'll see where the future will take this story and these characters. I might even create a finished comic again one day!
