Description
This is an OC I created for a feature film I hope to shoot one day. The character's name is Samantha Grey. In case you're wondering, she's not a white woman. Well, not exactly.
Samantha Grey was born in Colonial Trinidad in 1810 to Esther Grey, a female African slave and Alexander Grey a white slave master. Samantha’s birth was a result of rape initiated by Alexander unto Esther when Esther was just 14. In order to hide his deed from his wife, Alexander freed Esther just five months before Samantha was born. Samantha was born in an abandoned warehouse instead of a hospital. Samantha had red hair, grey eyes and a very light skin complexion which made her appear more Caucasian to some people. Esther would try to support Samantha taking up any menial job she could find. When Samantha was fourteen her mother died from tuberculosis a disease she contracted while working on a farm. Samantha was left all alone, never forming any sort of friendship or romantic relationship. She was not accepted by the blacks due to being seen as a byproduct of the evil white man. She was neither accepted by the whites due to her distinct Negro facial features such as a wide nose and curly hair. Samantha would struggle to support herself by engaging in whatever menial job was available. Eventually Samantha would settle on a job as a dishwasher. One night when Samantha was eighteen years old she was attacked by a man with sharp teeth. Her body was completely drained of blood and she was dumped in the river. Her body was found by fishermen early dawn the next day. Samantha had no friends, no family and no one next in kin, therefore her funeral was attended by virtually no one and she was buried under a simple wooden marker that bared only her name.

Three days after her burial Samantha’s grave was found opened and her body gone. Two days after the disappearance of her body there were reports of a female African slave being murdered by a woman with sharp teeth. A few days later a local councilman was murdered in the same manner. The suspect in both murders was said to bear the same physical description as Samantha Grey. After the deaths of about ten more persons, the public began to take notice of the growing situation.

When Samantha was murdered the one responsible was said to be a vampire of German origin named Conrad Muller. Legend has it Muller had stowed away on a ship carrying German settlers to Trinidad in search for new victims. As fate would have it, Samantha was his first Trinidadian victim. Anyone who was killed by a vampire would return from the dead as vampires themselves. That is exactly what happened to Samantha and her victims. When the local public became aware of the existence of Muller he managed to make his escape back to Germany leaving much of North Trinidad to fend for themselves against vampire Samantha. Most of the attacks by Samantha and other vampires were done during the night hours and they would disappear during the daytime. Vampires were nocturnal meaning that they would only come out at night because the sunlight would affect their eyes. Vampires had very sensitive eyes and could only operate in dark conditions. They also had incredible strength, immortality and were able to scale trees and jump from buildings in single bounds. Though Samantha and the vampires were human in appearance they acted like wild, feral animals and lacked the ability to speak. Some among the human population managed to eliminate some of the vampires by decapitation and burning the vampires alive. However, Samantha always managed to evade the vampire hunters. The Northern Range would be her last place of refuge. For next hundred years Samantha would prey on hunters, hikers, civilians who lived in houses on the mountains and unsuspecting tourists.
This artwork came out better than I expected. In case you noticed, I didn't draw Samantha Grey with the traditional two long canine teeth. I made her with multiple sharp teeth, an inspiration I took from "30 Days of Night". I also made her look as if she had anorexia because I imagine that since vampires only source of sustenance is blood then lack of any other food would cause them to drop a lot of weight. Please comment.
