Superman's cousin: The Last Daughter of Krypton, Kara Zor-el most commonly known as Kara Danvers. After I drew Superman I just couldn't resist doing one with Supergirl. As you could see I did a few changes to how Supergirl is usually depicted nowadays. First off, I got rid of that ridiculous skirt she always wears. She's a superhero, for crying out loud! Not a cheerleader! Having her legs covered up seems to be more practical. It's almost similar to the one in the "Supergirl" TV series on WB. The only difference is I wanted to give her main costume different sets of colors almost adding a youthful vibe. I also gave Supergirl a shorter hairstyle partly to pay homage to her New 52 look earlier in the 2010s. It's also a reference to the fact that most women nowadays are trying more androgynous looks. Her shorter hairstyle also reflects the type of self-expression teenage girls engage in. By the way I like to imagine that Supergirl is 16 years old. I wish I could've uploaded this art piece under different circumstances given the fact that I'm going through a bit of a family crisis and also given the fact that the government of my country, Trinidad and Tobago, has ordered everyone under lock down because of the Corona Virus spreading around. About 86 people have been infected so far and 3 people have already died from this virus. Drawing this piece had enabled me to get my mind off of what's been going on lately and I'm proud of it.
