hi, when u paint portrait, maybe u can try not paint according to border (means no need to be too careful sometimes, watercolor portrait shud look free), also, u can try to use cerulene blue to color for the shading, avoid warm color in shading.

just my advice, hope u dont mind, tq.

Cerulean blue- i will try that!^^ I always used marine blue

Yes, not to being too careful is very difficult if you want an authentic portrait...Thanks for your advices- i'll  put them into practice!

Thank you so much! The eyes are the focal point of a human face and you can get much for the expression from them-  the wideness of the pupils, reflections from light, the red of the upper eyelids... Much things to do but also much fun to create it!^^
