Description

Here is a little something Kevin VanHook requested me to do a couple months back, maybe a week before San Fernando Comic Con, he sent me his Bernie Wrightson tribute sketch for me to ink. At first glance, I felt honored to be approached in that manner, I was never asked to ink anybody's work before, and I was even more happy to know it was Kevin of all people. Anyway, I kept pushing it back due to all the projects that came flooding in, until just last weekend I had time to squeeze in his drawing. So here it is. I'm also very grateful he kept the pencils loose, since it gave me the chance to experiment with a couple details. Veins and roots were some of the things I'd be afraid to apply on Swamp Thing, and when I did it, it would always be to the lowest common denominator. Thankfully this gave me that excuse.
