I think this turned out great, I love the composition! And the textures, there are some really strong textures here.

excellent! thank you!
i sure did take a long time trying to figure it out. i was moving all the pieces around before i glued anything, just shuffling around. i'm glad i did because if the composition was crap the whole piece would be FAIL.

Ooo this is a good example of black & white collage! Some people will succumb to the pitfall of including too much greyscale, but not you This is a lively piece, with good texture and enough going on to keep it interesting. Also, mummies are fun

yay! thanks!Β
mummies are fun! i found a book about embalming at goodwill and found lots of good things there. i had to admit that one of the mummies was sepia and i turned it b&w in ps.Β
the back ground is a pic of a coal mine in india Β (from nat'l geo) that i thought added some awesome texture, but still be very black.

my goodwill seems really expensive. the books i've been buying are like, $8! but they're huge coffee table books. i got one on the Louvre and a history of graphic design. i keep getting things that i want to read and am not finding things to cut out. lol it's fun to look through them. art history!
yeah, i thought that coal mine was crazy cool looking. i thought it might be too dark to use, but there turned out to be a lot more highlights in it than i thought.
oh i love national geographic! i want more more of it! i have been getting them for years and before this i threw them away after i looked at them. how dumb is that!? art or not, everyone should collect it! never throw it away! Β Β

Hmmm that does sound a tad pricey. Mine has gotten a
little more expensive, just not that much. Oooo I keep
finding treasure to read too! I recently started reading
the 3rd Fu Manchu book and it is pure gold! You worked it out just right :la
My Goodwill recently started carrying bags full of old
National Geographics and I bought up some
