Description I am very proud of this dress because my grandmother and I made this together for my high school Prom. This was the first of my formal designs to be created. The dress itself came from the mixed inspiration of Greece and Frieda Kahlo's Self Portrait "Between the Curtains". I do not recall what fabric this gown is made from, but I recall that the sleeves were chiffon. The silver "broaches" just below the sleeves are cleverly placed strips of sequined ribbons. I was not crowned to the Prom court that night, but this gown has seen me the Princess on many a night.  Dress - 1999  Picture - 2010

Thank you. That dress was not made of satin though. I forget the fabric, but it was lighter and reflected in starbusts of blue.
