What if India never merged with Asia?

LORE:
Aside from the obvious weather changes, the Himalayas would not have existed. If there are still mountains along the Strait of Tibet, they'd be as tall as either the Andes or the Rockies IOTL, forming via volcanic activity. The subcontinent would not be prone to colonialism forever.

In exploration, the Indo-Iranians would've discovered this by 500 BC. The Greeks would've discovered it and colonized it right before the death of Alexander the Great. The colony, Neohelena, would unironically gain its independence, expanding Greek influence in the subcontinent. The Indo-Iranians would've been pushed to the east side. This also would've greatly affected spice trades, especially with Portuguese expeditions.

By European colonialism, Britain would've taken the east side of the subcontinent, putting the Indo-Iranians in the area uner British subordination. Neohelena, however, would prevent the British from taking over the entire subcontinent. By 1947, India would've gained its independence from Britain with help from Neohelena.

That's just my take on it. Things could've gone WAY differently.
