Chiara Zanni is a Canadian actress, voice artist, comedian, impressionist, and singer, born on July 19, 1978.

Her career as a performer started when she was eight years old, because she was cast as the “Pokey Little Puppy” in “Little Golden Bookland”. Since then, she provided voiceovers for several animated projects and even starred in some live-action works.

Most of the roles she took on for live-action movies and TV shows were either relatively minor or supporting parts, although her animation career has particularly flourished through the years. For instance, she starred as Stellaluna in the animated television special of the same name, for which she also starred as Flitter. She also starred as Amy Ryan in the “About a Girl” TV series, Piper in “Storm Hawks”, and a variety of characters in the Barbie franchise.

In “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic”, she starred in five episodes as Daring Do, who also writes her books and goes under the guise of A.K. Yearling. Her role became so popular that she frequently attended MLP conventions in Vancouver and Richmond.
