Edit 2: Also Akshar deserves a new refernce sheet. There are two simple reasons for it. First there where some tiiiiiiiiiiiiiny parts of his design I disliked and I wanted to change. Second - and more important - I didn't wanted to see him in "Spirit - Stallion of the Cimarron" Style any longer. Since this style ruined my drawing skills a lot some time ago, but on the other hand he is no SSOtC-Character at all

Personality:

Ever since Akshar got sepearated from his brother, he had started to seek out lonelyness, instead of being with the Alliance of the twins and their friends. The calm and cold stallion prefers to be alone and to do what he alone is interested in. He hates orientating to others and he would hardly ever have regards for others. Akshar doesn't really care about others and all their issues and usually would stay out of anything he'd not be interested in or what wouldn't consider himself, his brother or the druid mare Talaith.

Within an interpersonal experience, one would get to know Akshar as a polite and well-manered man who cares a lot for decorum, especially towards women. He'd often behave as a gentleman, having a fine speech and the patience of a king. Even towards enemies he'd behave noble, but one then would notice a hint of sarcasm in his behaviour. Nevertheless, he'd act well-mannered. Of course, the only way he can efford this almost arrogant behaviour towards a foe would be to be a strong fighter. Still, he's not just an excellent fighter and mage, but also can rely on his high intelligence. Akshar would never do anything without having a plan and he'd never act headless. He's attentive, careful, always concentrated and always self-controlled. The stallion is almost impossible to provoke and witness him snap is rare like seeing the sun in the dark dimension.

Due to this he'd win his usual battles very often and therefore Akshar will be bored about 80% of the day or more. Which is why he values a good challenge, both mentally and physically. However, since a good challenge got rare for the old half-god, Akshar would show signs of frustration and might appear fierce beyond his performance of a noble gentleman from time to time. Akshar is proud of his skills and also in general is a proud character. One should never attack his pride. He does swallow a lot, but if one just knows his weak points, he'd make you regret it.

Story
Over thousands of year a creature called Akael was born. The shadow god Sargonnas had bred to an unknown, very powerful female demon, who left him with his child once it was a few days old. The god used to believe that he had created the most powerful and worthy servant which would be very useful to control his territory. As Akael grew, he developed powers quicker and far more powerful than Sargonnas had imagined and although he refued to teach his son, Akael tested and began to understand his power by himself. Slowly Sargonnas started to fear the creature and felt his position as god threatened, therefore sought help from other gods who understood the situation and advised Sargonnas to destroy what he created. Akael overheard his plans and was shocked but at the same time he felt like he had known before. The creature fled his fathers territory and hid himself in the common world.

Akshar himself cannot explain what happened throughout the years where he was alone with himself, he would later describe it as if he broke apart. Akael started arguing and disputing with himself. Being left and abadoned by his father was unworthy of his powers. One side wanted to seek revenge, the other side just didn't care. The inner fight continued many years and one day resulted in a moment of huge rage where Akael would destroy everything around him ... and in the process he also split himself.

Azrael and Akshar were born. Two far weaker creatures that disguised themselves as horses who represented the two personalities of Akael. The two of them continued to be in dispute and decided to part their ways as staying together just didn't make any sense. The two reunited when Azrael was attacked by Sargonnas as their father finally found out how they escaped and hid themselves. Azrael was at the merge of death when Akshar decided to dismiss their arguments and mutated together with Azrael back into their old form. Akael had preserved his power, although being split for so long, and finally turned his revenge to Sargonnas. The shadow god had no chance and fell far too quickly. He had to flee and hide himself, much to Akaels liking as he deserved to experience the same as the twins had to endure.

Akshar and Azrael again parted after the fight. This time however being somehow at peace as they were able to read each others minds and understand themselves better. Both were lone wolves that would meet if neccessary but otherwise stay alone. Akshar now used his independence to gain some freedom. Although he kind of lost half of his former soul he kind of enjoyed being by himself and not rarely brought quite big distances between himself and Azrael. Of course he loved his twin, but independence was a welcome relief from the centuries of fight and disargue. He felt that his twin got stronger again, as did he. But Azrael seemed to be afraid of his rising powers, afraid of becoming like their father - what annoyed Akshar. Azrael was not like Sargonnas, not at all. And he told him very often, 'til the point he got sick of it.

The next years were somehow peaceful until Akshar was attacked by a stranger called Laturce. Azrael ran to aid his twin, Talaith following him. Together the three of them fought near exhaustion against Laturce, an assassin that was hired by Sargonnas as he wasn't able to face his sons again. Talaith, Akshar and Azrael nearly gave up hope when Seska suddenly appeared. The wolfdog knew Laturce as they were trained at the same assassin clan. She gladly helped the others by sharing her knowledge and together they defeated Laturce. Azrael came closer to Seska and although Akshar did not trust her, she helped his twin to forget about his fears. Which Akshar is very thankful for. On the other hand though, he noticed that the Druid mare Talaith felt kind of drawn to him. And although Akshar respected her and saw her as a friend, he made clear, that he woud not develope any kind of romantic feelings. Neither to her nor towards any other female. he was a loner and he would always be.

The adventures somehow fused Akshar and Azrael together, they decided to form a sort of Alliance including the twins, Talaith and Seska. The four horses usually wander around all sorts of areas, sometimes parting and meeting again after years or months. If one needs help, the other three will be there within minutes.
Althogh having a difficult start and being grumpy and surpressed, Azrael and Akshar have managed to get along and somewhat enjoy their more or less peaceful days.

Trivia
• Akshar values good manners, even towards foes. To him it’s a form to showcase his power.
• Normally Humans are nothing but prey to him and therefore he usually doesn't respect humans. For the same reason he used to hated shifting into his human shape. Only recently his view on that has changed for the better and he doesn't mind spending time in his human form with some certain characters.
