Description My speculative take on the batsquatch. Note that this is an updated version of the original.

The Pacific Northwest Flying Fox, or Batsquatch as it is more commonly known as, is not a type of bigfoot but in fact a species of megabat that is endemic to forests of Mount St. Helens National Park. The largest bat species in North America and quite possibly the largest bat species on the planet, the Batsquatch rarely, if ever, leaves the cover of the trees, only doing so if threatened. Batsquatches spend most of their time resting in the branches of trees, sort of hugging the trunk of the tree and blending in perfectly. Because of this they are most often overlooked by hikers and other predators. Batsquatches are frugivores and primarily eat plums that grow in the forest. Other food items include fruit, flowers, nectar, and leaves. They will sometimes deliberately consume insects as well.
