Description
Someone suggest me a mini-series with a "Cold" and "Hot" subject...Looking through the excelent ~retrodiva 's stock gallery, I found the perfect photo to do a vector for the "Cold" subject. The photo is: [link]

Love to talk with you about a novella. We have the book done. Need a great artist to illustrate it. Love your Cold drawing because it looks like the protagonist when she was younger.

oh no, this is not mesh tool, I just use blend now, I've tried mesh before, but looks like the blend tool works better for me...

That shirt is just absolutely wonderful. As someone who's trying (and mostly failing) to vector a shirt currently, my hat is well and truly off to you. The rest is of course amazing, so too your entire gallery.
Bravo.

Love the colors and the vector itself is very well done. I'm pretty new with vectors and personally... I get so frustrated with trying to "blend" the skin tones. Example.
Good job.

I think you could manage better the colors, don't try make it so contrasted....so hard....use different opacities blend them.

Wow, I'm not that beautiful of course but I feel like I'm looking in the mirror!!!
In a way I feel we look alike, the mood, the feelings..how I imagine myself alone.

What I like about this picture, is that I've heard that snow spirits usually take the form of women, though men are not unheard of. I believe this comes from Chinese mythology, but don't quote me on that.
The point is, that's what my first thought was when I saw this. My only question; how many layers in Illustrator do you need to make a graphic look this good?

lastgenin In reply to lastgenin [2006-06-26 05:56:32 +0000 UTC]
Ha ha, I know what you mean. Before I got into Illustrator myself, I attempted a cell shade graphic using Photoshop alone. I had no idea what I was thinking, trying to use that pen tool...

CrisVector In reply to lastgenin [2006-06-26 03:00:44 +0000 UTC]
oh friend...that's a nice tip you said... if this snow thing is from Chinese Mythology and I did using a Asian woman...it could be a nice coincidence isn't?
well I don't use many layres in illustrator... I just use a layer for background, one for the main illustration and other for text and stuff. But if you mean "shapes". yeah I use A LOT of then.....
