Description
This is my entry for 's Good vs. Evil contest. An irresistibly-delicious slice of cake... and the consequences.The moment I saw the contest I wanted to have a lot of freedom in interpretation, and as you can see, I went far with it.
I figured there would be plenty of other people who would depict epic scenes of battle between the warrior and the monster, so I instead stepped outside my usual style and attempted something so different that, to be honest, I have never, ever drawn something like this. Let alone food and a big belly, I have never before drawn something remotely humorous. There were other ideas that I was throwing around, but this one was such a different sort of challenge, it had to be the one.
I like the concept behind it because it applies to us all. It isn't the warrior battling a horrific monster; it's our own battle we sometimes struggle with.
Even if I don't win, it was still well worth the effort to attempt something with such contrast to my normal work. Thank you for the contest!

Thanks! I used a reference for his right hand, and his left I fought with the most. Not until I asked someone to pose their hand as if stuffing their shirt into their waistband did I realize I had been drawing it wrong the entire time.

Oh, that's fun to hear! I quite enjoy sharing the process (I'm still at the point where I learn loads and get surprised every time I draw something), but I feel only few people are really that interested. So it's much fun to have someone ask about it.
