Description
The ruins are done!I decided to not post any WIP shots, since the change was too small for the pictures.
As finishing touches I painted the rubble, washed the skulls, blackened the wood, and added static grass.
I'm really pleased with the end result and I personally think it really looks like ruins.
This is probably just the start of my MDF adventures.
I really love working with it and adding to it.
Expect to see more MDF terrain and scenery in the future.

Those are some really cool ruins. I like the detailing on them.

Thank you! It took some time to add all the extra stuff, but it was definitely worth it.
Hard to imagine that they started out as plain smooth MDF ruins.

Yeah, I like how you added patches of grass to make it look as though it's kind of over-grown, like nature is starting to reclaim it.
Also, a really good youtube channel to check out for inspiration for ruined/abandoned terrain is Dan Bell:

He does a lot of Urban Exploration videos that serve as great inspiration for weathering techniques and ideas for building ruined/abandoned terrain. I recommend watching the video where he explores an abandoned meat-factory. It's where I got inspiration for weathering effects on my new Death Guard.
