It's going to be awesome one of these days. I think my style has morphed into a much more expression oriented style. I think I like the face on the first better, the second one does portray her character better. Oh well, there's always next year.See last year's comparison here:

Try adding colour to your shadows and highlights, Tilt shadows to blue, and highlights to yellow. or in this case green(because of the green light) and your colours will come out a lot more eye catching.
only other suggestions is try figure drawing as often as possible to improve the over all shape. Still Great work
