My tribute to all 7 entries in the Sprint Arcade Series by Atari.1. Sprint 2 (1976)
2. Sprint 8 (1977)
3. Sprint 4 (1977)
4. Sprint One (1978)
5. Super Sprint (1986)
6. Championship Sprint (1986)
7. Bad Lands (1989)
In Sprint One the tracks change automatically during the race about every 15 seconds. Β It's a little annoying when you run into a wall.
Championship Sprint was released in September 1986 in the memory of George Opperman (1935-1985). Mr. Opperman was the first artist
hired by Atari and the creator of the Atari logo.
Sprint 8 featured 8 steering wheels for multiplayer racing. Β I actually saw one of those at a huge arcade in Myrtle Beach in the early 1980's.
